After earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Nguyen pursued her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. During her clinical rotations, Dr. Nguyen traveled throughout the United States working at hospitals, community health centers and family practices alike to provide comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages.

As a Toronto native, she is pleased to now be back home serving her local community. Dr. Nguyen enjoys practicing primary eye care, and she is board licensed in the management of ocular disease, vision disorders and contact lens fittings.

In her spare time, you can find Dr. Nguyen enjoying Toronto’s diverse foodie scene, curled up on her couch with a good book, or enjoying quality time with her friends and family.

Dr. Amanda Sim graduated from University of Waterloo School of Optometry with Honours. She currently practices full scope optometry with a strong interest in chronic headache and concussion management, having completed an internship at Uxbridge Optometry and having worked as a vision therapist at Vaughan Vision Therapy and Elite Vision Therapy. She has also served as an examiner for the Optometry Examining Board of Canada (OEBC).

She interned at Houston Eye Associates, one of the largest ophthalmology clinics in the United States in the field of pre-operative and post-operative care for laser eye and cataract surgery.

While at the University of Waterloo, Dr. Sim was awarded the des Grosseillers Humanitarian Award, the highest honor given to a University of Waterloo optometry student who exemplifies commitment to community and helping others. She has had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Kenya and four mission trips to Honduras to provide charitable eye care.

She and her husband sponsor two children through Compassion Canada and have supported Matthew House Toronto, which helps to welcome, assist and resettle arriving refugees.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, volunteering, and leading a connect group on how to be your best self in the workplace.

Dr. Yeung received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, and has completed numerous internships in multiple optometry and ophthalmology settings with an emphasis on ocular disease treatment in the United States. He was also able to participate in multiple medical optometry mission trips to Guatemala and Honduras.

Dr. Yeung prides himself in bringing a positive culture to the profession and always strives to make the patient experience his top priority, which has led to two 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards nominations for top optometrist in the Peterborough & Kawartha Lakes regions.

As a sports fanatic, he loves playing softball and other sports in his spare time. He enjoys spending time with family & friends catching movies & TV shows, is a classically trained pianist and sketches as a hobby.
